This pressure regulator is an integral part of the all in one microfluidics control system developed by Craig Watson. But it is also used stand-alone. It controls pneumatically-driven microfluidic chips. It regulates output pressures by using Honeywell TruStability® Pressure Sensors and Parker Proportional Solenoid Valves for its closed loop PID control system. This system has a very quick response time. It is controllable via USB or by I2C.
The device is very well suited for applications with low air requirements and limited air supply (such as a portable device with on-board pump or only a small gas cylinder). However, high flow rates are handled equally well.
