The OpenFlexure Microscope is a customisable optical microscope with inverted geometry on a high quality mechanical stage that can be motorised. It is mostly 3D printed and was designed by Richard Bowman and Julian Stirling at the Centre for Photonics and Photonic Materials at the University of Bath. It is a platform for research-laboratory imaging that is compact and easily assembled.
The 'OpenFlexure V6 - Bag of Bits' contains all fasteners and an illumination kit for the V6 OpenFlexure Microscope assembly. The remaining 3D printed parts are easily printable with online suppliers or with a PLA 3D printer. Other necessary electronic parts like motor, camera and raspberry Pi versions are listed here.
