The Mini2P-Scope Cable Harness v1 is an essential component for the Mini2P miniscope, a 2-photon device used for large-scale calcium imaging in freely moving mice. The Mini2P can obtain stable simultaneous recordings of over a thousand cells across multiple planes in densely active cortical regions, even during various behavioral tasks.
The Mini2P-Scope Cable Harness v1 serves as the connection between the control box of the Mini2P and the microscope's body. It consists of a 6-wire bundle that drives the µTLens and the MEMS mirror. The lightweight design of the cable follows the instructions provided by Weijian Zong. The cable interfaces with the control box through a D-SUB 25 connector and the scope body through a 6-position FH19C connector. To ensure stability, the tiny connector is supported by an extra-thin PCB that provides a secure resting place for the 6 wires.
