Founding developer Steven Sawtelle

Steve Sawtelle leads the Electrical Engineering group in Instrument Design and Fabrication at HHMI, with expertise in sensor data collection and processing. He  holds a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science and a master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia. Steve has diverse experience in computerizing instruments, detecting flaws in pipes, designing oceanographic equipment, and developing custom micro-electronics.
